Conditions Treated

There are a range of conditions that can benefit from Physiotherapy. Below are some examples but this is by no means an exhaustive list and apply to both small and large animals:

  • Orthopaedic conditions –  conservatively managed conditions like muscle strains, tendinopathies and ligament injuries

  • Orthopaedic conditions - surgically managed e.g. Total hip replacements, patella surgeries, cranial cruciate ligament surgeries

  • Neurological conditions - this may include degenerative myelopathy, intervertebral disc degeneration, neuropathies and nerve injuries.

  • Behaviour changes - lethargy, reluctance to work, development of bucking/rearing/napping. Reluctance to go on walks, limited socialising. Saddle slip, reluctance to take the bit or head shaking.

  • Loss of normal routines - e.g. not jumping on/off furniture or out the car.

  • Sports injuries including performance problems or enhancement of the sporting or working animal

  • Long term conditions including osteoarthritis, spinal, joint and muscular pains.
